How much is your adoption fee?

We access a fee based on the costs involved in updating the rescue's health and welfare. We do not recoup the costs for fostering or obedience training. The donation ranges between $150 - $300. In special circumstances the adoption fee is waived.

Why did it take so long or I never got an answer to my inquiry?

We are usually very busy with full-time employment and caring for our current rescues. Our rescues are treated as one of our own family, they receive the same love, care, and exercise as our personal animal companions. We are often training, advising or teaching one of our courses. This leaves little time to respond to all the inquiries we receive daily. If a potential match is available you will receive a response from the staffer who is fostering the rescue in question. Please understand that if a match is not available at the exact time of the inquiry that the inquiry is filed and you will be contacted when or if a potential match is available. We do not respond to any inquiry unless there is what we consider a potential match. We have adopted several of our rescues to wonderful homes months or even in a couple of cases years after an initial inquiry was made.

Why can't I see the dogs before I send in an application?

Our rescues are housed in private residences, we do not maintain a shelter location. At times the rescues need to be protected from their abusers after being saved. Only in specific cases will the dog's original owner be told who the adopters are. We arrange rescue meetings in public areas or at the adopter's residence.

What if I have problems with the dog after adoption?

If the "problems" are behavioral, we will work with you to ensure a happy relationship. We consider our adopters part of the Tundra Family; and as such we are on-call 24/7 for any assistance. If the problems are physical, we will help with diet, and vet recommendations. We con-duct a vet check prior to adoption. If we feel that your current vet is not "husky friendly", we will so advise and recommend one who is.

I have more questions about the rescue. How do I get an answer?

You may contact us thru our web site. We supply the adopters with ALL records available to us.

Do you adopt out of state?

With very few exceptions, our rescues are adopted only within NYS. NO adoptions are made within the Metro area of New York . We will refer you to a rescue within that area for assistance.
